You've heard that some web development projects include an information architect, but you really don't understand what that is, or what they do?
In this session, Gregory Heller will describe the Information Architecture process and deliverables, explain ways that you can think strategically about IA before you start coding and configuring so as to reduce development challenges later on.
We'll cover:
* site maps
* wire frames
* content inventories
* taxonomy decisions
Look at examples of IA on the Cheap, as well as advanced information architecture including rolling (clickable) wireframes.
We'll even discuss the difference/benefits/challenges between doing up front IA and Rapid prototyping.
