To receive conference announcements via Twitter, follow the drupalcampvan Twitter user.
Drupal Camp Vancouver also has its own hashtag: #dcv08. Hashtags allow you to share topical Twitters with others: to do so, you simply include the hashtag in your Twit. While http://hashtag.org is an opt in service (you may follow the hashtags user), Vancouver local Twemes.com produces the nifty Javascript widget at right.
Once you've Twittered a message including the hashtag, the tweet will be viewable at http://twemes.com/dcv08.
