- Take 5 Cafe (429 Granville, Hastings and Granville)
- Blenz on Hastings - probably the closest but the coffee ain't my cup of tea
- Waves - not so great coffee but good free wifi from what i hear
- Caffe Artigiano- a short walk West on Hastings (740 West Hastings, supposedly best coffee in the city!

- Medina Cafe, 556 Beatty Street - excellent Belgian waffles and coffee
- Brioche (nutella with a baguette! French pastry chef! Siciilan savory chef!)
- So.cial, 332 Water Street (breakfast starts at 7a.m.)
- New Town Bakery, 158 East Pender (congee for breakfast! lots of other yummy food if you don't like congee)
- The Boss (best grilled cheese sandwich in Vancouver)
- Harbour Centre Food Court (in basement of Harbour Centre across the street from Wosk) - Taco del Mar open for breakfast (not my fav but some like it), coffee shop is open as well
- Starbucks - Across the Street from Wosk Centre on the Seymour Street Side

Asian
- The Boss (pepper beef noodles, ox tongue, congee)
- New Town Bakery (special menu B (vermicelli with pork and bok choy) and C (chicken chowmein) - is what Richard and I order plus "dong lai chai" aka Hong Kong milk tea with ice) - In a hurry? Get a steamed pork or chicken bun to go (I like the spicy pork ones the best)
- Harbour Centre
- Bali Thai - Cheap and cheerful Indonesian, photo
- Curry Express (next door to Bali Thai) - yummy curries
Non Asian
- So.cial, 332 Water Street - excellent sandwiches, get there early, buy 2 and split it (it's cheaper)
- Brioche (spaghetti salsicce and any of their soups, it's all good)
- Jules Bistro, 216 Abbott (steak frites with peppercorn sauce! not cheap but delicious)
- Harbour Centre
- $1 pizza slice on Seymour at Pender just South of the Wosk Centre for cheap and cheerful fast food pizza
Dinner

- Guu in Gastown (Japanese pub style food)

Don't forget
For people in a hurry, there's a food court in the basement of the SFU Harbour Centre. And for people who are cheap and in a hurry, there are the 2 pizza places on Seymour and Pender ($1 or so a slice).
